BEAUTY | My Top Spring Picks

I never normally tend to create seasonal posts, but I feel like this is a great way to rediscover older products and make the most of what I already have in my collection (although I can never so no to purchasing more makeup..).

I hardly ever change up my skincare routine throughout the seasons, as once I have found something that works for me and my skin, I am reluctant to try anything else for fear of being sensitive towards a new product. So I stick with my trusty Clinique Anti Redness Moisturiser and Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Cream.

During Spring I reach for my Nivea Primer, as it’s super hydrating and more on the dewy side than my Smashbox Colour Correcting Primer. I am on the lookout for a great dewyΒ primer that I can use throughout the Spring months, so if any of you have any recommendations then I’d love to hear them!

I’m a bit of a boring one when it comes to foundation, as I am really bad for sticking with the same one until it runs out (and then I normally repurchase it!). At the moment I’m currently using the YSL TouchΓ© Eclat Foundation and I’m generously adding a few of The Body Shop Lightening Drops, as my skin is looking fairly corpse like as of late. Again, if anyone has any great foundation recommendations for pale with yellow undertone sensitive skin, then I would really appreciate it – feel free to send me any links to posts you have written about a certain foundation!

Spring is when I grab my blush collection and have a rifle through! I’m loving the Clinique Ginger Pop Blush for adding a subtle pop of colour to my cheeks. I’m always partial to a swipe or three of highlighter and during Spring is certainly no exception! My highlighter collection is rapidly growing and I love the lighter shades during Spring – think BECCA Champagne Pop and theBalm Mary LouManizer.

Lipstick is quite a neglected area of my makeup application, as everywhere I go I normally eat (a lot) and I can’t be faffing around with reapplying lipstick or having patchy lips due to not reapplying, so I just usually skip this step. However, during Spring and Summer I can’t say no to a good pink lip! My all time favourite combination is MAC Pink Plaid Lipstick and MAC Hip ‘n’ Happy Lip Liner – this creates the perfect baby pink lip and I love it!
