Anyone who knows me, knows how t o t a l l y obsessed I am with Florida. I’ve only been once, yet I still replay that trip over and over in my head – one day dreaming of going back. I’m currently trying to organise a family getaway there, where we can hire our own villa and explore the parks – I’ll let you know how I get on with this..
I have been inspired by Douglas Elliman and their gorgeous and luxurious Florida homes, which make the most of the warm weather they constantly get (I’m not jealous, I promise…), to create my very own ‘dream Florida room’. Now, I still currently live at home so I don’t have anywhere that I could make this dream room a reality, but one day I definitely will and I can’t wait.
I love having the elements of the yellow and blue, to emulate the typical colours of a beach. However, I still love the clean and fresh feel that white gives off. You can never go wrong with adding blooms/greenery, as this does just the trick to brighten up any room. I also love adding small pops of colour that can easily be changed throughout each season, or to suit whichever mood you’re in.
I would also include small additions of Disney themed pieces (obviously, because I am obsessed and love Disney) – I just couldn’t find any that I liked online to add to my mood board.
I hope this post has provided you with some home/interior inspiration – I know it has for me and now I just want to move out and decorate my own home!
Let me know how you would decorate your dream Florida style room!
