BEAUTY | High End Favourites

I previously shared my high street favourites (you can read it here), so I thought I’d also share my favourite high end products..

I don’t actually bother much with my hair at all – which I know is really bad – so I don’t have any high end products that I use, however I do have my eye on the Ouai Texturising Hair Spray and one of the Kerastase Hair Masks.

BEAUTY

YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint Foundation – £33.50

I’m definitely one of those people that hates change and that doesn’t stop at the foundation I choose, I was using the Benefit foundation for over two years before I finally decided to take the plunge and try out a new foundation. Enter: YSL Touche Éclat Foundation. I am in L O V E with this foundation. I love the way it makes my skin look, it smells really nice and the finish of it is perfect for me. I did actually buy this foundation when I was slightly tanned, so it is a little dark for me for 90% of the year – oops – but that’s fine, as I just use The Body Shop Lightening Drops to lighten it.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer – £25.00

This is definitely the perfect bronzer for me, as it’s not overly pigmented and it’s a really great shade – not too orange and not too ashy. I do try and use this to contour with, but I think I need something a little different for that. The smell of this bronzer is amazing, obviously it smells like chocolate which is literally the best thing ever! You get a decent amount in the pan, so the price point in my opinion is pretty good.

Clinique Ginger Pop Blush – £17.00

I love this shade and the name! It’s soo cute! I also love the embossed daisy/flower – it really adds something extra to a regular blush. The pigmentation of this product is great, so make sure to use a light hand when applying this! The shade makes your cheeks look really healthy and I like that it’s a matte blush, I don’t particularly like a shimmery blush.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter – £32.00

My all time favourite step when applying my makeup! I never feel like my makeup look is complete if I don’t have highlighter on. I had never tried anything from BECCA before this highlighter and I am seriously impressed. This highlighter is buttery smooth with no chunks of glitter and the pan contains a generous amount – £32 is pretty expensive for a makeup item, however I definitely think it’s worth it for this gem. I need to purchase more of BECCA’s products, I have my eye on the moonstone highlighter, backlight priming filter and one of the blushes!

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumising Brow Gel – £20.00

I really didn’t want to love this product, as £20 is expensive especially for how small this product is – I’m hoping the new version is bigger?! – so I’ve been putting off using it/repurchasing it, however I haven’t managed to find a cheaper and better alternative – although the Lipcote Browcote comes pretty close. The Benefit Gimme Brow keeps your brows looking sharp and in place all day and also adds a little bit of colour, which is great for sparser areas. It’s literally (removable) super glue for your eyebrows!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, 10ml, Original – £17.00

I have never really believed in products being ‘miracle workers’ but let me tell you now, this is a ‘miracle worker’ product! I honestly can’t believe how well this holds my eyeshadow – it doesn’t crease or split and my eyeshadow still looks just as good as when I first applied it towards the end of the night. It’s honestly amazing! I know a lot of people own this wonderful eyeshadow primer, but if you don’t then you N E E D to go and get it, I promise it won’t disappoint.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette – £39.00

I was toying between purchasing this one and the original chocolate bar palette, however I opted for the semi sweet version instead as I knew the shades would work better for me. Of course that doesn’t stop me from wanting them both though! Would I really be makeup obsessed if I didn’t want everything?? The consistency of all the shades is pretty good, aside from the baby pink sparkly shadow – I feel like it’s packed so densely so there’s no fallout, that it’s just ruined the pigmentation.. All of the other shades are perfect though and I always reach for this palette over all of my other ones.

Benefit Roller Lash – £20.50

Guys, I’ve tried other mascara’s (including the famous Maybelline Lash Sensational) but nothing compares to the roller lash for me. I know there a few people out there who don’t like roller lash, but I love it. It separates my lashes – which I majorly need as my eyelashes are really great at clumping together – makes them really black and slightly curls them, without the need for a curler. I’ve repurchased this twice now and I will continue to do so!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – £17.00

I’d been dying to try one of these lipsticks, as Jaclyn Hill used to rave about them in her YouTube videos. My dad went to America at the beginning of this year and I sent him to the nearest Sephora with instructions and specific shades (I know, what a boss dad right?). I got three and the pigmentation and lasting power of all of them is pretty epic. I always hate wearing lipstick if I know I’m going to be eating, however I needed to put these to the ultimate test and needless to say they passed!

SKINCARE

Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream, 50ml – £41.00

I’ve suffered with redness around my nose area for quite some time and it took ages for me to sort it out – cutting out various foods and using anti redness products – but this moisturiser was definitely a product that helped me out and for that I am eternally grateful! I love that this moisturiser is light green in colour and it feels very hydrating, refreshing and cooling once applied to the skin. It’s not too thick, but it’s also not too thin/watery so in my opinion it’s the perfect consistency.

Clinique All About Eyes – All Skin Types, 15ml – £27.00

This was the first eye cream I ever tried and I loved it. I’ve used it all up now and have started using the Kiehl’s one instead because I wanted to try something new, but I still love this one and I will definitely repurchase it. It has

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado 14ml – £20.00

Another green coloured product! There seems to be a recurring theme here with green skincare products.. I definitely purchased this eye cream due to the hype that surrounded it and I’m glad I did. Although I do love the Clinique offering, I love how thick this one by Kiehl’s is and my under eye area definitely feels more hydrated and moisturised.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil, 30ml – £22.00

Kelsey from abalancingpeach influenced this purchase without a doubt. I always go to Kelsey’s blog for any skincare recommendations, as her skin sounds a lot like mine – fussy and sensitive. I trust her reviews and opinions, as I know she would never talk about anything that wasn’t anything less than perfect. I always fancied a facial oil, but my skin is sensitive to a lot of different ingredients so it was always hard to find one. I love this one – the smell? Not so much – and I find that the morning after the evening I’ve applied it, my skin looks more radiant and less dull.
