BEAUTY | High Street Favourites

I thought I’d share a roundup of my favourite highstreet beauty products, as we all love hearing about products that don’t break the bank..

BEAUTY

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops – £10.00

I know I go on about these, but they honestly are so good and save you having to buy a lighter/darker foundation. For £10, you really can’t go wrong! I’ve talked more in depth about the darkening drops in a previous post here.

Sleek Blush, Flushed – £4.99

I know a lot of us love Sleek blushers and for good reason, they’re not highly pigmented which I always prefer in a blush, as then you can avoid being clown face! The shade range is quite extensive and the simple black packaging is gorgeous.

3ina The Highlighter, 201 – £10.95*

I am already obsessed with this highlighter and I haven’t owned it very long at all, so that goes to show how much of a winner it is to me already! As I’ve previously said, I love the subtle sheen it gives your cheeks and it’s the perfect everyday pick. The shade is perfect and it’s very finely milled, so there are no chunks of glitter in sight. It’s buttery soft and smooth and is a pleasure to use!

theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer – £20.00

(I’m unsure whether to class this as ‘highstreet’ or not, because I don’t personally think £20 is cheap.. But I’ve included it anyway!)

One of the best highlighters I’ve ever tried and it’s definitely up there with most high end highlighters, with regards to pigmentation and texture. I like that this highlighter can be built up to an intense glow, or you can leave it subtle for everyday. The honey hue makes this the perfect shade and I’m just obsessed with it. If you’re a makeup junkie and don’t have this in your collection, then I highly recommend purchasing it!

NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade, Chocolate – £6.00

This has been my holy grail eyebrow product for nearly a year now and I think I probably need to grab a new one, as mine is starting to dry up a bit now! The colour match to my eyebrows is perfect and I love how defined you can make your brows with this product. It’s really easy to use and you can definitely have subtle and soft brows, or dark and defined brows using this little gem. It’s very versatile and for £6 you really can’t go wrong!

Morphe 35F Fall Into Frost Eyeshadow Palette – £22.50

This eyeshadow palette is to die for – I’ve done a full review with swatches here – and I can’t wait to bring it back out for the upcoming Autumn months! To be honest, any of the Morphe eyeshadow palettes are amazing and they’re all such great value for money.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – £8.99

This mascara is a great dupe for Benefit Roller Lash and is more than half the price! I know a lot of fellow bloggers that absolutely swear by this mascara and I can totally see why – it’s great for adding volume and separating your lashes. I use this as my daily mascara and it literally lasts f o r e v e r.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – £6.00

Another super popular product and for good reason too. There’s no need to spend loads of money on high end liquid lipsticks, when NYX sell this absolute beauty of a product. They’re so comfortable to wear and last really well. They’re also super pigmented and the shade range is pretty extensive.

HAIRCARE

Batiste Dry Shampoo – £2.99-£4.99

I have heard quite a few people say that they don’t rate Batiste dry shampoo, however I’ve used it for quite a few years now and I love it. I like having the choice of scents as well and I would say that I’ve gone through at least 8-10 bottles of this stuff!

Argan Oil – £10.99

I don’t use argan oil nearly as much as I should do and I know my hair would thank me for it if I did! I didn’t realise actually how inexpensive argan oil is, so I will 100% be purchasing this one from Superdrug as soon as possible! It’s great to just lightly run through your hair, especially the ends.

SKINCARE

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Cucumber and Green Tea – £7.00

I spritz this facial spray every morning and evening and it’s so refreshing and hydrating. It’s definitely one of my best purchases of this year. I love it! I also think that £7 is such a great price, as I’ve been using this everyday since the beginning of July and I’m not even halfway through the product yet, which is amazing.

Vaseline Spray & Go, Aloe Fresh – £5.99

There is nothing worse than sticky body lotion, I absolutely detest the stuff so the Vaseline Spray & Go has been my favourite body moisturiser for the longest time. Again, I’ve gone through countless bottles and I love all three scents (original, aloe fresh and cocoa).

Zoella Beauty Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream – £5.50

I never usually like hand creams, as they can always be too sticky and then you just have to sit there waiting for them to dry – which really annoys me. So to find a hand cream, like this offering by Zoella Beauty, that isn’t sticky and dries really quickly, is amazing. The scent of this one is also lovely as well.

Rose and Co. Lip Balm Rose Petal – £3.00*

I received this little lip balm along with some goodies from Patisserie de Bain a few months back, and I have been using it ever since. It’s a really lovely and thick balm that makes your lips feel soo moisturised and I absolutely love the applicator – it’s the shape of a lipstick, with a tiny little hole that you squeeze the product out of, so it’s actually really sanitary which I love. The packaging is super cute as well!
