BEAUTY | Summer Scents

Summer is nearly over (it feels like anyway), so before August comes to an end, I thought I would share some of my fave Summer scents…

I am a complete perfume junkie, you would honestly not believe how many I own. I’m obsessed and it’s like I have my own little perfume shop in my wardrobe – it’s great! Most of the perfumes I own are either floral, fruity or sweet – so they’re basically all perfect for Summer. However, there are a couple of particular perfumes that I wear once Summer rolls around.

I also wanted to include some other fragrances that I don’t have in my collection, that would also be perfect for the Summer months. I know lots of people own a Versace perfume and the one I’ve got my eye on is Versace Eros Femme, the fruity top notes and floral heart notes really pull me in. I also recently became aware of a luxury bergamot perfume by Clive Christian* – this one contains Cashmeran Musk and Jasmine. I love anything that contains Jasmine and the Cashmeran Musk would make this perfume absolutely perfect for a Summer evening. The bottle is pretty extra as well, which I love – I love the gold cap and the embossing on it, it looks very luxurious. I already own two Marc Jacobs perfumes, however I really would love to add Marc Jacobs Honey to my collection. With top notes of Pear and Mandarin, heart notes of Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar, Apricot and Honeysuckle and base notes of Honey, Golden Vanilla and Smooth Woods, this perfume really stands out to me – to most this may be too sickly sweet, but I love it.

Marc Jacobs Daisy 50ml – £55.00

Marc Jacobs Daisy is an absolute classic. Lots of girls own it and everything about it just screams Summer; the scent, the bottle and the packaging. I love the cute daisy embossing on the bottle and I feel like all of the Marc Jacobs perfumes are very theatrical – which is great! Daisy contains top notes of Blackberry, Grapefruit and Pear, heart notes of Jasmine, Lychee and Blue Wisteria and base notes of White Woods, Musks and Coconut Water.

Prada Candy 50ml – £66.50

I know a lot of people that find this perfume way too overpoweringly sweet, but that’s what I love about it. For some reason, I love smelling really sweet and I know it’s a scent that’s like marmite – you either love it, or hate it. I love Prada Candy and would also love to try some of the other Candy fragrances from the range. This particular one has a top note of Musk, middle note of Benzoin and a bottom note of caramel (hence the sweetness).

Benefit Laugh With Me Lee Lee 30ml – £30.50

My all time fave Summer scent and I’ve just found it that it’s now discontinued, I’m absolutely gutted! The bottle is just as Summer-y as the scent, with top notes of Cassis, Melon and Citrus, middle notes of Black Violet, Lily and Jasmine and bottom notes of Blonde Wood, Amber and Santal, this perfume smells gorgeous and is my all time fave. It’s very strong and lasts all day, through to the evening. I’m o b s e s s e d.

Michael Kors Glam Jasmine 30ml – £40.00

I stole this perfume from my sister because the scent is literally to die for. I will be repurchasing this when I run out because the woody jasmine fragrance is honestly beautiful. Even though this perfume has a woody fragrance, it can be worn during a Summer’s day as it is both day and night time appropriate. I can’t sing this perfume’s praises enough – you need it in your life, go and give it a sniff I promise you won’t regret it! Oh look, another sweet and floral fragrance that also contains Jasmine (told you I liked perfumes with Jasmine in..).

Zoella Sweet Inspirations Body Mist 45ml – £8.00

A perfume post can be quite expensive, as they’re certainly not cheap (especially the ones I’ve talked about today..), so I had to include an inexpensive option that also smells amazing. This one by Zoella contains Sweet Almond, Honey and Cocoa, so it’s definitely not one for you sweet haters out there. I find that even though this one is a mist, it still lasts nearly all day – admittedly it’s not as strong as the other perfumes (as it is a mist rather than a perfume), however it does pack a punch and lasts pretty well.

I used to think that there wasn’t really a theme with perfumes that I liked, I just thought that I liked anything and everything! But clearly I do have a preference, as I’m sensing a theme with floral and sweet scents and also most of the perfumes I like in this post contain Jasmine!

What is your signature Summer scent?xoxo

*This post is written in collaboration with Clive Christian. All opinions are honest and my own, as always (and clearly I really do love Jasmine scented perfumes!). Now, who can I persuade to buy this perfume for me…
