BEAUTY | My Favourite Winter Scents
I adore seasonal scents and today I’m sharing my Winter faves!
I tend to prefer a more deep/musky perfume during the Winter months. Don’t get me wrong I still love the sweet and fruity scents, but with more of a deep/musky undertone to them. I have my own mini perfume shop at home, so I do have a few that I adore. Zoella Bake My Day Fragranced Body Mist – £12.00 Who doesn’t want to smell like a walking and talking gingerbread (wo)man, am I right!? Obviously body mist’s don’t last as long on the skin, but I love to spritz this one on a daily basis when I go to work. It smells quite sweet and if you don’t love gingerbread then you won’t love this one! I also love the bottle with the cute little white gingerbread men embossed on the back. Prada Candy – £49.00-£83.50 I’ve had this perfume in my collection for a while now and it’s still a firm fave, especially during the Winter months. It’s very very sweet – as the name would suggest – and it lasts forever on your skin and clothes. This perfume has an explosion of caramel, an excess of Laotian benzoin and a cocktail of musks. It’s honestly beautiful and if you’re into your sweet smelling scents, then I urge you to at least smell this the next time you’re near a perfume counter. Try and resist buying it, that’s your challenge! Marc Jacobs Dot, 50ml – £32.99 How extra is this bottle though? I love it! It’s a very extravagant perfume that looks fab sat on display. This one has base notes of Vanilla, Driftwood and Musk, heart notes of Jasmine, Coconut Water and Orange Blossom and top notes of Red Berries, Dragonfruit and Honeysuckle. Wow, it’s no wonder I love this one – all of those fragrance notes sound wonderful and this perfume is up at the top (along with Sí) as a longtime firm favourite. Giorgio Armani Sí – £51.50-£89.00 Hands up who doesn’t own this perfume? I know a lot of people do and for good reason too. I feel like Sí smells ‘grown up’ – those of you who own this must know what I mean? – and very sophisticated. This perfume has base notes of Patchouli, Woody scents, Amber, Vanilla and Ambroxan, heart notes of Freesia, Rose de Mai, Neroli and Jasmine and top notes of Cassis, Bergamot and Mandarin. I would describe this perfume to be quite fruity but with a lovely deep undertone to it, that doesn’t make it sickly in the slightest. It’s honestly perfect and I urge those of you who don’t own it to add it to your Christmas wishlist!
