TRAVEL | New Places I Want to Visit in 2018
I managed to visit a few new places in 2017 and I want to continue that this year!
There are lots of places that I’m just dying to visit, some of them definitely unrealistic for this year – Maldives, Barbados, America.. – and I thought that I would share this post today revealing a few new places that I’m hoping to visit this year.
I honestly couldn’t even tell you why I’ve never visited Durdle Door before, but last year I read both Lucy’s blog post and also saw this dreamy photo on Lydia’s Instagram and now I’m all for going. Hopefully I can visit in the Summer when it’s nice and warm – look at the colour of that water and it’s in the UK?!
Now, I’m not 100% certain this one is going to happen, but I am supposed to be going at some point with my mum and sister and I believe it could potentially be this November and if not then it should be next year.. We’re all desperately trying to save up for it!
Last year my boyfriend and I went on holiday to Mexico and it was incredible (you can see my previous posts here and here). This year we’re hoping to visit somewhere equally as incredible and this is where the Dominican Republic comes in – the white sandy beaches with crystal blue water? I’m all about that life! However, we are very indecisive and will probably change our mind’s at the last minute, so who knows where we’ll end up!
I know of a few people that have visited Budapest and have loved it, so I fancy going and seeing what all of the fuss is about myself! We were supposed to do a little city break last year, but we didn’t plan it far enough in advance and our money wouldn’t stretch that far, so hopefully we’ll do a city break this year – either Budapest or Barcelona. Everyone raves about Barcelona too so it’s always somewhere I’ve wanted to go. I don’t know of many people that have been to Barcelona and haven’t loved it.
Hopefully I’ll get to visit all of these places this year and if not then at least at some point in my lifetime! I’m sure there will be other places that I visit too, but for now I don’t have anything planned so who knows where I could end up!? I’m really starting to get into travelling, now that my homesickness is slowly starting to get a little better (let me know if you would like to read a post on my homesickness and little ways I help to keep myself feeling less homesick?), and I’m thoroughly enjoying visiting new places. I would love to get a big map and start crossing off places that I have been to, that would be soo fun!
