GUIDE | Mother’s Day Gifting
Mother’s Day is fast approaching, so I thought I’d put together a little gift guide in case any of you are stuck with what to buy!
If you still haven’t managed to get your mum anything for Mother’s Day yet and you’re struggling with ideas, then I’ve got you covered with this gift guide!
For the mum who needs a little pamper
I know my mum falls into this category, as she’s always running around after everyone else and rarely takes as much care of herself! You can never go wrong with gifting candles at any time, so this Yankee Candle 5 Scented Votive Gift Set* would be perfect, I love candle gift sets as you get to try out more than one scented candle. Another gorgeous candle pick is the Baylis & Harding Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit* and this offering is a little more luxurious than the previous set. This one smells very fruity, but not in the sickly sense at all and also smells a little acidic (not in a nasty way, obviously). Other pampering gift ideas include hand and foot sets (like this one from L’Occitane), a body care set (like this one from Baylis & Harding) and even a snuggly and warm dressing gown – who doesn’t love getting a new dressing gown?! – like this one from House of Fraser.
For a beauty loving mum
Do you get your perfume obsessed ways from your mum? Debenhams sell a range of perfumes perfect for any mother this Mother’s Day – my pick is Flowerbomb Nectar by Viktor & Rolf*, the bottle is super luxurious and the scent is absolutely gorgeous! It’s very floral and sweet, but with a slight musky undertone to it . My mum’s favourite perfume is Cerutti 1881 and obviously the scent totally reminds me of her and I love it. Why not also spoil your mum with a designer lipstick like this one from Yves Saint Laurent – you can also pinch/borrow it then! – or a luxurious skincare product like the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate* (which is definitely a product that I have wanted to try for the longest time).
There are soo many gift ideas for Mother’s Day and I know that I love to spoil my mum on her special day – she does a lot for us and it’s lovely for her to have a day that’s all about her (my poor mum has to share her birthday with my dad, which means that day is all about him…).
Other gift ideas include:
- Theatre/cinema/concert ticket
- Gift voucher
- Afternoon tea or lunch/dinner out
- A hamper full of all of her fave goodies
- Spa weekend
