BEAUTY | New In: Lola Makeup

I recently, very kindly, received a couple of makeup bits from Lola Makeup!

Firstly, I love the packaging! Simple black packaging is perfect for a brand like Lola Makeup, in my opinion. It looks ‘professional’, simplistic and sophisticated.

Secondly, I’m not gonna lie – that blush shades s c a r e s me! Look at that swatch too! It’s insanely pigmented, which is obviously a very good thing. More on that later..

All of these products are extremely lightweight, making them perfect for travelling with, however that doesn’t make them feel cheap or tacky at all – which I always love. You can make products lightweight without making them feel cheap!

Lola Extra Slim Pen Eyeliner* – £12.00

I don’t tend to use eyeliner because I look ridiculous with winged eyeliner – I just can’t do it and luckily it doesn’t suit me anyway! I did apply this along my lash line and it was really soft and comfortable to use, the colour pay off is amazing and the fine nib is perfect for creating a thin line. I can imagine this eyeliner pen would be a real winner for those who love winged eyeliner.

Lola Blusher Mono (003 Bright Peach)* – £11.95

As previously mentioned, this blush scares me! It’s rather daunting isn’t it?! It’s very bright and super pigmented, so you do have to be careful to only apply a little bit to your blush brush otherwise you will end up looking like a clown! Using a super light hand, this blush works really well and gives a gorgeous pink flush to your cheeks. I can see this lasting a long time too, due to how pigmented it is! It’s also velvety smooth to the touch, as you can see by the swatch.

Lola Matte Long Lasting Lipstick (Damask Rose)* – £11.95

I wouldn’t normally pick up this particular shade of lipstick, as it is very light and I worry about this sort of shade clashing with my skin tone – I was very wrong with this one, it’s literally my own ‘my lips but better shade’ which I don’t think I’ve ever found in a lipstick before which is exciting! It’s very natural and perfect for this time of the year. This lipstick is matte, so it does feel a little dry on my lips – but my lips don’t have a lot of moisture in naturally anyway, so I don’t find this unusual for me at all. It’s still very creamy and super easy to apply – what more could you want from a lipstick?!
