TRAVEL | Villa Accommodation in Seminyak, Bali

I have finally visited Bali and it definitely did not disappoint..

Our first stop in Bali was Seminyak! I’m pretty sure everyone has heard of Seminyak, as it’s the most popular place to visit when you got to Bali. I had heard mixed reviews from some people regarding Seminyak – some loved and some hated, so I was eager to see which side I landed on..

Well I definitely l o v e d Seminyak and it was my favourite place that we stayed on our whole trip! We stayed in the most beautiful villa booked through booking.com and I could not recommend this villa enough. Our villa was called Villa Kilau and was complete luxury, without being too over the top and overwhelming – it simply was one of the most beautiful villa’s I’ve ever stayed in.

It’s a two bed villa so it sleeps four and comes in at just over £100 a night – so if you split that between four people then it’s an insanely cheap £20/30! I know you can also find a lot cheaper accommodation in Bali, but I found a goldmine in this place.

Both of the room’s had their own en suite’s and then there was also another room called the ‘media room’, which contained a huge sofa and a TV (with Netflix on!?). The ‘lounge’ and kitchen area are both outside, opposite the pool, and the whole feel of the villa was perfect – you felt self and secluded, but also in the hustle and bustle of everything, especially as there was no roof above the pool.

I felt extremely homely in this accommodation which really helped me enjoy Seminyak so much more!

The pool was a lot of fun and I completely adore the greenery – the whole place made for great Instagram pictures, especially when I chucked my flamingo in for good measure too! The beautiful wooden French looking doors I adore as well and I loved waking up in the morning, looking out of the door and seeing the beautiful pool with the sun shining.

The kitchen had everything you would need for a self catering holiday – an oven, fridge/freezer, hob and sink, etc. We also had the prettiest water dispenser filled with fresh water daily! I could have stayed here the whole time I was in Bali and not got bored of the place. I can’t get over how beautiful it is!

Also, just a nod to the location of the villa – it was perfect for us. It was close enough to Seminyak Square and Village (approx. a 10 minute walk, max), but still just that little bit far enough out the way for a peaceful and relaxing stay – that’s if you ignore the constant beeps of the car’s and moped’s, which you do actually subconsciously block out after a while as it is constant!

We did have a lot of restaurants and shops just outside our villa and the walk to the more busy shops and restaurants was really lovely.

I think I’ve gushed enough about the beautiful Villa Kilau now, but if you do ever visit Bali and don’t mind spending a little more for secluded luxury then I highly recommend booking and staying at this villa!

The villa was extremely easy to contact and they even arranged a driver for us to collect us from the airport for 200,000 (which is around £10 for just under a half an hour drive, so cheap), which was very lovely of them and reassuring for us as our flight landed at 2am Bali time!

There was even a duty manager on site at the villa waiting for our arrival to check us in and they left a mobile phone with us to contact them any time of the day or night, with any questions we needed answering – the staff and customer service of the villa was second to none and I only have amazing reviews for our experience in Seminyak with Villa Kilau!
