Food & Drink

FOOD | An Evening at Noto, Bristol

I was recently welcomed down to Noto, a quaint little bar serving food and drink with an Italian flair…

You all know by now how much of a foodie I am and I’m always on the look out for new food and drink places to try! As I also live in Bristol, I’m able to be signed up to the amazing Socialight app which connects influencers and local businesses. The app has been really great for me and my little blog so far, so I’m absolutely loving it.

Noto is a small little place located on Whiteladies Road near Clifton Down and has a really welcoming feel to it. It’s also a fab spot for people watching, if you like that kinda thing (which I definitely do!). There are only a handful of tables within the bar, around 8 or 9 I believe. Noto has a very airy, yet comfortable feel to it. I genuinely loved the vibe in there and I didn’t feel too awkward taking the photos for this post either!

I’ll start off by mentioning how wonderful the staff are and our server, Paul, was SO accommodating. He really added to our evening and made us feel super relaxed. We were definitely in very capable hands! Some of you may already know that I’m intolerant to many citrus fruits (and some other things, but citrus mainly). I made Paul aware of this and he very kindly sorted me out with a super yummy Prosecco cocktail and a cheese and meat platter – ensuring there was no citrus in site! This was really appreciate, as I know being intolerant to citrus can be a right pain!

I took Kieran along with me and he is the least fussiest eater you will ever meet in your life – which is great for me because he’s like my own personal human bin! Kieran loves everything about Noto and is a fab little Instagram boyf, by pointing out photo opportunities for me (even though he pretends not to be interested in photography at all..).

We thoroughly enjoyed the meat and cheese platter, it even came with a balsamic glaze dip which I was SO happy about as it’s my fave! We had little bread sticks, olives and the yummiest tomatoes too! I’ve never really had one of those sharing boards before, but I’d definitely have it again because it was really yummy. It filled you up to just the right amount as well and didn’t sit heavily in your stomach.

Kindly presented to us were a couple of different types of cheese’s and meat’s, which were delicious. Our food arrived on a slim little wooden board and it looked amazing! Very photogenic, which made taking photos of it very enjoyable.

We both had a really lovely time at Noto and will definitely be visiting in the near future. If you live in Bristol or are ever in the area, I highly recommend popping to Noto. It’s the cutest little bar with lovely fresh food. It also has a little cheese counter – so if that’s not persuasion enough, then I don’t know what is! Thanks so much to Noto for having me!
