HAIR | Freshly Hair Plan Review

I was recently very kindly sent a haircare box from the lovely people at Freshly Cosmetics, here’s how I got on…

I received the Haircare Intense Detox Plan*, as I’m really conscious to try and look after my tresses and keep them looking healthy and feeling great. There are also plenty of other plans to choose from and you can also purchase singular items too – there’s so much choice!

Freshly Cosmetics pride themselves on being 100% natural and toxic free and are certified by BioInspecta and BioVidaSana.

I would say the price range is more towards the higher end of the spectrum, but still fairly reasonably priced. This includes the boxes and considering everything you receive in them.

I was very excited to give this particular hair care plan a go and so far I’ve not been disappointed. I have been extremely happy and satisfied with the results. Can we also just take a moment to quickly talk about that packaging.. Isn’t it gorgeous?! The main ingredient being pictured on the side of each bottle is super eye catching! The pump applicator makes life so much easier too. Freshly have really nailed it with the packaging, as it’s very sophisticated and super easy to photograph.

The Detox Refreshing Shampoo* contains grapefruit, aloe vera, argan oil, rooibos tea, horse chestnut and natural menthol. The grapefruit scent is fairly strong and quite a refreshing scent. The consistency of this shampoo is thinner than other shampoo’s (for example, Tresemme has a very thick white consistency). It also has a yellow/orange/red colour to it. The thinner consistency did mean that I had to use two to three pumps of the shampoo. However, this will obviously change from person to person, depending on the length and thickness of your own hair. I also found that this shampoo didn’t foam anywhere near as much as my usual Tresemme shampoo – but I believe that this a good thing anyway?!

The Detox Anti-Frizz Repairing Conditioner* contains coconut oil, shea butter, arctic rose flower, apple cider vinegar, pomegranate extract and verbein extract. I adore any hair product (or skincare product for that matter) that contains some form of coconut in! Coconut oil especially is SO good for helping to maintain the condition of your hair. It keeps it looking and feeling so soft. Using two to three pumps of conditioner, I properly treat and coat my hair. Immediately my hair felt softer than usual when completely wet. The scent of the coconut isn’t very strong at all, but at least you know this product isn’t artificial!

The Intense Recovery Hair Serum* contains avocado oil, astaxanthin, rice oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, camellia oil, grape seed oil and almond oil – so a lot of oil’s basically! I have been using two small pumps of the serum – mainly focused on the end’s of my hair. I lightly comb the remaining serum through my whole hair. This serum is slightly red in colour and has a sort of gel-like consistency. I love this because it means the serum isn’t running off of my hands and onto my bedroom carpet!

All three of these products work together in the dreamiest way possible. My hair instantly looked brighter and softer after one use and I couldn’t stop admiring my hair in the mirror! I know it sounds like I’m being dramatic, but I honestly wasn’t expecting to see results that quickly. The texture of my hair was extremely soft to the touch, like unbelievably so. I also found that my hair was less greasy than usual by the third day – a m a z i n g!

With continued use of this trio (around two to three months), my hair is looking the best it has ever looked. So soft and bright and I’m finding I have way less knots too, which is always a great thing.

I cannot recommend Freshly Cosmetics enough. As soon as I run out of all three of these products, I will be repurchasing them. I also have my eye on the Detox Nourishing Shower Gel with AvocadoDetox Revitalizing Body Scrub with Raspberry Seeds, Pro-Repair Hand and Nail Treatment and the Hyper-Concentrate Eye Contour Serumso not much then!
