FOOD | An Evening at Revolution Bars, Bristol
An evening at Revolution Bars!
Also known as Vodka Revs.. I really wanted to provide a different outlook to Revolution Bars, by sharing the amazing food that they have on offer! You guys know how much I love a good food review, so I thought I’d share another one today.
Firstly, myself and Kieran were seriously impressed with all of the food we had. I’m not really sure what we were expecting, but the food definitely exceeded our expectations!
We arrived on a Friday evening around 7pm and were greeted by the lovely Matthew, who put the collaboration together. We were seated upstairs, so that our meal felt a little more private and I really wanted to concentrate on getting some good pictures, without feeling self conscious about actually taking them! For some reason, even though we’re in 2018, people still have a tendency to stare at those taking pictures of food..
For drinks, Kieran went for a pale Ale and I opted for the Rose Garden Gin & Tonic – which was absolutely delicious!
Now onto food.. We opted for Tapas style and chose a few dishes to pick at. The Bocconcini Bites, Honey Mustard Sausages, Tuscan Meatballs, Sticky Chicken and a Baked Sharing Camembert with a side of Fries. Everything was d e l i c i o u s. I honestly cannot choose a favourite out of everything we had – it was all incredible. We polished off the whole lot!
The fact that the Honey Mustard Sausages came presented in a little pig was awesome. A tiny detail that makes such a difference! I also love it when Camembert is baked inside a bread bowl – I love bread and bread dipped in camembert is just the best. The sticky sauce coating the chicken is up there as one of my all time favourite BBQ sauce’s and the tomatoes on the Bocconcini dish were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Bold statements right there, I know!
But seriously, if you’ve never tried the food at your local Revolutions Bar then you absolutely must. I can promise you now that you will not be disappointed. If you’re not into the “party” seen, like me, then maybe look at going on a week night, rather than a Friday or Saturday night, as I imagine they’ll be quieter!
Thanks so much to Revolution Bars, Bristol for having us and accommodating us so well. We’ll be back!
*Our food and drinks were, very generously, provided complimentary by Revolution Bars (Bristol). However all opinion’s and food loving is completely my own.
