GUIDE | Gifts: For Him
The perfect gift ideas for any men in your life!
There’s no denying that men are SO much harder to buy for than woman – am I right?! I don’t know why, but there always just seems to be much more variety for women and we also tend to want more – ngl!
So I thought I’d try and pack this gift guide with plenty of gift ideas for men, to especially help those who are struggling with what to gift the man/men in their life this year!
Self Care & Skincare
Nivea always have the best skincare sets and the Fresh & Smooth Face & Body Care Gift Set contains all the skin care bits you would need! There are also plenty of Hair & Body Duo’s in the shops for men right now, including this FCUK Sport one from Boots. You can never be bought too many shower gels, in my opinion, so grabbing a couple of these to go in their stocking would be very much appreciated.
The Philips 5000 Nose, Ear & Detail Trimmer would also be a great gift for your dad, uncle or grandad and a slightly more extravagant/expensive, but very useful, gift is a shaver. This Philips 5000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver with Turbo+ Mode is quite luxe and would be the perfect main present for a male relative/partner.
As you can probably tell by now, I absolutely love a good perfume/cologne set. I honestly do think that they make the best gifts – they always look so presentable, never mind the fact that they’re super easy to wrap!
The Jimmy Choo Man Set is one I purchased last year and it smells incredible. The grey and black box is very lovely too. The YSL Y Gift Set is another great option too. Again, the scent smells SO good and there’s glitter on the outside of the box – nothing say Christmas like a bit of glitter!
Technology & Entertainment
This is always a fun category, albeit expensive, but still fun! Probably my favourite type of gift to give as well. Something from this category always seems a bit more special to me. The Apple AirPods went down an absolute treat with my boyfriend last year and he has not stopped using them! If a loved one in your life has these on their wish list, I highly recommend taking the plunge and purchasing them. Sticking with headphones, the Beats by Dr Dre Solo 3 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones would also make a lovely luxurious gift.
You could be extremely generous and go all out, if you have the money, and purchase either the Playstation 4, Playstation Classic or the Xbox One X. If the recipient already owns these, why not buy them a game or two instead!
A DVD, book, board game or card game would all make great stocking filler ideas too. If you’re unsure which DVD or book they would like, then a voucher towards one would make a lovely gift. So would an iTunes gift card for the music lovers among us!
Food & Drink
For my dad this year, myself and my sister are putting together a hamper full of goodies! Mainly including all of his favourite food and drink’s. I think a hamper is such a good idea because it’s thoughtful and means that the recipient will receive lots and lots of their favourite little bits.
More foodie gifts include this TGI Friday’s Fajita Set, which would be perfect for anyone who’s obsessed with fajitas – and who isn’t, I ask?! The Jack Daniel’s 4 Sauces Set from Boots is an absolute winner and also comes in a Trio Set too. Another few food gift’s for someone with a sweet tooth include Border Biscuits Luxury Biscuit Tin, Green & Black’s Milk Collection and Cartwright & Butler Butter Fudge.
I always love to buy fashion pieces for my boyfriend and dad, as there’s usually a couple of these bits on their wish list’s. Seeing as how December (and January and February) are the Winter months, a hoodie is a must need during these cold months! I’ve picked up this burgundy option for my boyfriend from ASOS.
My dad loves Jack Jones and is always in need of either jeans or t-shirts. This year, we’ve opted for a couple of t-shirts for him, including this one in the white/cloud dancer option.
There are so many people that love all things fitness, so gifting a new gym top or a new pair of trainers would be very well received. Also, something along the lines of a new golf club, tennis racket, football, etc.
A fitness hamper is also a great idea, as then you can fill it with lots of little bits. Including a small selection of energy bars, protein powders, socks, a FitBit (as the main present or a pair of trainers) and a Joe Wicks (or similar) cook book – just as an idea!
