My 2019 Goals
Happy New Year everyone! Here’s to a happy and healthy 2019…
I recently took a look back at the goals I set myself for 2018. Seeing as how 2019 is now finally upon us, I wanted to set myself a few more goals for this year.
Get a New Job – This one is an absolute must. In November of last year, I unfortunately lost my job due to taking voluntary redundancy. This is definitely more of a positive for me, as my life will now hopefully start to begin! I’ve been stuck in a rut for the past four/five years, with nothing changing. I know it shouldn’t, but it really does start to take its toll and get you down. So, I’m extremely nervous and could cry at the prospect of having to get a new job, but I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I know this is going to be amazing for me.
Move Out of My Family Home – It’s time for myself and Kieran to finally move out and properly start our life together. We’ve been together 6 years now, so we’re desperate to move out! I’m 99% sure this goal is going to happen, as we should start renting at the beginning of February – all going well!
Continue YouTube Videos – I’ve thoroughly enjoyed vlogging since last May and it’s something I’m eager to continue. I would also love to get back into a couple of sit down/chatty videos too. I love editing the videos and videography is something I’m eager to get into as well.
Continue Blogging & Reach 1,000 Followers – I am very keen to gain an extra 400 followers this year to finally reach my goal of 1,000 followers via BlogLovin’. I know it’s not a number’s game, but growth is something that I find boosts my confidence – I’d be lying if I said it didn’t matter at all.. I love the fact that I can make other people happy, by them reading my blog post’s, and if I can continue making more and more people happy then that will definitely make me more happy too!
Try and Grow My Instagram Account From 3k to 4k – This is a loose goal, as I’m not too worried about growing on Instagram because I know it’s not something that’s going to happen for me! However, it would be nice to get myself off of the 3k podium I’ve been on for the past year. I definitely need to post more and more consistently too and I’m hoping this will be easier to do when I move out, as I love interior photos!
Socialise More – I’m really bad for socialising with my friend’s. I’m quite lazy and prefer to stay at home, in my pj’s and with no makeup on. However, you don’t remember all the time’s you did that and it can get a little lonely! So I want to concentrate on being more sociable in 2019. It doesn’t always mean spending money, as you can just simply go for a walk, sit in the garden, watch a movie, etc. with your friends and family.
Visit At Least One New Country/Place – Discovering Bali and Morocco last year was amazing and I’m desperate to keep on discovering new places. Even if they’re only in the UK! I haven’t visited much of the UK really, so that’s definitely high on my list – it will be cheaper too, as generally you only need to stay away for one night in the UK! I might create a little UK wish list of places I would love to visit and then see how many I can tick off in 2019..
Finally Meet Faye & Megan! – These two girl’s were definitely one of the best thing’s to happen to me in 2018. We chat pretty much every day and get on SO well, it’s so unfair that we all live so far away from one another! Our goal this year is to finally meet up and have a proper girly day – I’m keen to do this more than once and can’t wait to finally hug them and see them in real life. Honestly, they’re both amazing and have kept me going – giving me something to look forward to!
Wear My Clothes & Accessories More – I have SO many clothes, it’s a joke and I also have a rapidly growing watch collection too.. I was very kindly gifted the ADEXE Meek Petite Marshmallow in White* and it’s completely different to my usual style. It’s my first ever material strap and I adore the white shade. I definitely want to rock this more in Spring/Summer! I would love to set myself one of those challenges, where I wear a different outfit each day of the week.. I’d need to document it though and ensure it’s at least a monthly thing.
Other small goals;
- Try and stick to a skincare routine – even if it’s only once or twice a week. My skin doesn’t seem to appreciate a very pro-active routine, as it gets spotty and I don’t suffer with spots that much anymore!
- Swear less – It’s actually awful to admit, but it makes you sound super common and I don’t want that!
- Save more
- Delete unnecessary photos on my phone
- Keep my hard drive’s tidy
- Spend less time comparing myself to others
- Keep healthy & active
I’ve definitely set myself a fair few goals for 2019, but I need to be way more proactive this year! I felt a little stuck in a rut in 2018 and I don’t want 2019 to be the same.
