The Popcorn Shed Review

Who can say no to flavoured popcorn?!

I was contacted a few weeks ago by the Popcorn Shed, to try out all of their popcorn flavours. So of course I said yes! I don’t tend to eat too much popcorn, as I find both the sweet and salted flavours a little boring. Seeing all of the different flavours that Popcorn Shed do really got me intrigued and I was super excited to try them all out.

All of the flavours are Gluten Free and are made using all natural ingredients too, which is great! Especially for those who can’t eat gluten and it’s not the best thing to eat anyway, so we could all do with less gluten in our diet’s.

I love all of the different coloured packaging and illustrations on each packet. The small pack’s are the perfect snack size and would be great for on-the-go too. The slightly bigger shed size is brilliant for sharing and the little window is soo cute! You can tell that a lot of thought, time, care and passion has gone into everything that makes Popcorn Shed and I totally appreciate that!

It’s now been a few week’s, so I have been able to try out all of the different flavours and form a full review on all of them. Let’s see what I thought!

Berry-licious

Caramel & Raspberry Popcorn with Dark Chocolate*. This one is the perfect sweet fix, that doesn’t make you feel too guilty – as there’s less than 120 calories per bag. There’s also a great ratio of raspberry to chocolate, neither over powers the other. The raspberry and chocolate is a really lovely flavour – I adore fruity flavoured chocolate. Also, the small 24g bag is the perfect size, as you wouldn’t be able to eat too much of this flavour because the chocolate is quite rich. The raspberry does combat this, as it tastes really nice and fresh.

Overall Mark – 8/10

Butterly Nuts

Peanut Butter Caramel Popcorn with Peanuts*. The flavour of this one is so super yummy! Peanut butter is one of my all time favourite flavours, so I knew I’d love this option. Peanut butter mixed with the caramel is perfection too, I could eat SO much of this flavour. It’s a really fab salty but sweet mix – Popcorn Shed have really smashed their flavour combinations, as no one flavour is more obvious than the other.

Overall Mark – 9/10

Pecan Pie

Caramel Popcorn with Pecan Nut Pieces*. Pecan Pie is one of my all time favourite flavours, so this flavour popcorn is an absolute winner with me – my other favourite out of all of the flavours, along with Salted Caramel. There’s a perfect combination of the caramel and pecan flavour and it is just delicious. I could honestly eat this forever! Absolutely outstanding!

Overall Mark – 10/10

Pop n Choc

Chocolate Caramel Popcorn with Milk Chocolate*. These tasted delicious and chocolate popcorn is such a great alternative to actual chocolate! I was expecting the Pop n Choc option to be really sweet, however it wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be. I really enjoyed this though as it meant that the popcorn wasn’t sickly at all. There’s definitely the right amount of chocolate – not too much and not too little!

Overall Mark – 8/10

Salted Caramel

Salted Caramel Popcorn with Milk Chocolate*. All I can say is Salted Caramel popcorn is absolutely amazing! There’s the perfect ratio of salt and sweet, again, and the caramel coating is absolutely divine. Salted Caramel is one of my favourite flavour’s out of the whole range – it’s absolutely delicious. If you only try one, try this one! I promise it’s the best popcorn I’ve ever tasted in my life.

Overall Mark – 10/10

Say Cheese

Cheddar Cheese Popcorn*. Not gonna lie, I was expecting this one to be awful. Which is why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover! It’s very cheesy and is quite strong, I definitely couldn’t eat a lot but I love the savoury cheese option. I enjoy savoury, as much as I enjoy sweet – so if you’re more of a savoury person and love cheese, this is the option for you!

Overall Mark – 7/10

Sweet Cheesus

A Mix of Cheddar Cheese & Caramel Popcorn*. Something felt really weird about eating caramel and cheese popcorn, but I actually quite liked it! Who knew cheese and caramel would actually work?! I definitely think this flavour is like marmite – it’s not for everyone and you’ll either love it, or hate it. I think some pieces were cheese and some were caramel, so you could eat them separately if you wanted to.

Overall Mark – 7/10
