August Flowers from Prestige
A very bright, uplifting and Summer-y bunch for a very rainy August..
Well, hasn’t August been unpleasantly dreary?! We want our UK Summer back please! At least August’s edition, the Perigueux*, has brightened up my month and still made me feel Summer-y. Even if I have been sat watching the rain out of the window, cosied up underneath a blanket to keep me warm..
As always, there isn’t much to say about the packaging as it’s exactly the same each month. The flowers are always packaged in a tall box, very well and safely and you also receive a black string bag with every bunch each month. You also receive a little flower care card, with tips on how best to care for the particular flowers in your received bouquet.
A very aesthetically pleasing Summer-y bunch this one, isn’t it?! With the pastel yellows, peach-y pinks and vibrant orange. I feel like this month’s bunch is a very happy bouquet, that makes you feel uplifted every time you look at it – a colourful bunch of flowers can really do that to your mood, at least I find it can anyway!
So, I think I have a problem with over-watering my flowers, and they usually end up submerged because I’m petrified of them dying. However, I believe I am the problem in causing them to die earlier than they should do.. I say this because this bouquet was giving off an awful smell and I realised it was because I was filling the vase up with too much water, meaning that leaves towards the bottom of the stems were submerged in water and slowly rotting.. So go me! I promise I’ll try not to drown next month’s edition..
Aside from the awful smell (my fault entirely, I’m sure), I really loved this bouquet. It lasted a solid 8 days and really did brighten up our living room. I completely adored the edition of the Thlaspi Green Bell – so beautiful and delicate and really tied the whole bunch together.
The flowers inside the bouquet;
- Avalanche Roses
- Sorbet Roses
- Thlaspi Green Bell
