A Little Look Back on September
Well, Autumn is definitely in full swing with all this rain we’ve been having throughout September!
I do love Autumn and even Winter (but only December, obvs) because I love any excuse to get all cosy and snuggled up. The warm weather is well and truly behind us now and I think it’s safe for us to whack out the big, warm jumpers and boots!
It’s officially been over one whole month since our flying visit to New York and I still can’t believe it. Where does the time actually go?! Anyway, let’s talk all about September..
Sharing The Love
Blog: I’ve been having the biggest catch up ever with blog reading. I’m determined to catch up with the remaining two month’s worth of post’s by this weekend (wish me luck!). My favourite blog post’s read in September were;
- Let’s Talk: Feeling A Little Lost & Seriously Uninspired, Rebecca (fromroses) – I found this such a great read, mainly because it made me feel so much less alone!
- Counselling Q&A | What Happens In Talking Therapy, Jodie Melissa – Jodie’s post answering a few questions about therapy, was a really great read too. It helped me a lot, as therapy is something I’m definitely thinking of investing in and I found this super helpful.
Instagram: My favourite photo’s include the following;
- Gemma Ellis, gemellisx – I could not be more in love with this dreamy home pic Gemma snapped recently. The tones in this photo are just gorgeous and talk about interior inspo!?
- Madi Williams, mmadiwilliams – Madi produces some of my all time favourite flat lays and this one is absolutely gorgeous. Again, I love the tones and just how effortlessly beautiful Madi always manages to make her photos look.
- Lucy, forever_september – Lucy is such a fantastic photographer and I adore this beautiful Dior product shot.
Twitter: The lovely Lauren shared this tweet and it was something I really needed to see/read. I was in a really horrible place at the beginning of last week, then towards the end of that very same week I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
My Most Loved
Blog: Honestly, my Nano Teeth Whitening Review is still receiving SO much traffic. Can’t quite get my head around it?! Obviously a lot of people are looking to whiten their teeth right now..
Instagram: Mine and my cousin’s super cute doughnut photo shoot went down well on Instagram! What can I say, everyone loves doughnuts right?!
Twitter: I’m so glad I have fellow Christmas fanatics following me..
Fave Beauty and/or Skincare Product: I keep pulling out the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea. It’s just so refreshing!
Fave Song: All The Time, Zara Larsson. I just love Zara’s music and would love to see her live at a festival!
Fave Food: Technically a ‘drink’, but I’ve been obsessing over strawberry nesquik recently… SO good.
Fave Restaurant: How can I say anything other than Shake Shack?! You guys know how much I enjoyed eating my first one in New York..
Fave Purchase: My bargain gold feather/leaf trinket dish from Primark. I can’t find it online, but it was £4.50 and is proudly perched on my coffee table!
Fave TV Show: Strictly Come Dancing. The new series kicked off towards the end of the month and I love it already! Pretty much every celebrity is amazing!
Fave Film: Parker (Netlix). I love Jason Statham and have really got into action films since being with Kieran. This won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I enjoyed it! Along with another film he’s in, called ‘Safe’ (also on Netflix).
Fave Event/Moment: New York!!
Fave Item of Clothing: Technically an accessory, but I finally have these boots in my life and I am o b s e s s e d.
Fave Blog Post Written: This is a tough one because I wrote a few blog post’s that I loved throughout September.. But I think I’m gonna have to choose my New York Travel Diary!

Looking Forward To
Booking: A trip to Brighton for early December. Kieran has never been and I’ve only been the once, I know he’d love it there so I’m desperate to take him!
Planning: Some future Christmas content (too soon?!), as I would love to try my hand at Blogmas again this year..
Celebrating: A new job for me! More on that soon in a life update post..
Watching: Everything get a little more Autumnal and spruced up ready for Halloween!
Seeing: The Strictly Halloween special, it’s always a good’un!
Buying: Some more bits and pieces for our home. Not having a job has put our little house on the back burner, but I’m ready to start earning a decent income again and spruce up the house a little more!
Eating: At some new restaurant’s – hopefully.
Instagram: 3,348. I seemed to have hit a bit of a wall again recently, let’s hope it doesn’t take two years to pass this time!!
Blog Views: 800+. A couple hundred more than last month, which is great! I’ve been posting a bit more recently too, as I’ve got myself a bit of a schedule going again.
BlogLovin’ Count: 615. Yay! Slowly going up – hello new blog followers, I hope you’re enjoying yourselves so far!
Blog Posts: 7. I’ve loved creating content and putting it out there again, now I just need to keep up with it and stick to my schedule!
Twitter: 504. I usually forgot about tweeting, until the end of each month when putting together these monthly blog posts..
Pinterest Views: 2.9k views, 160 engagement. Lower than last month, which seems a bit odd considering I have been pinning like mad for my photography purposes.
