Here are some Great Ways to De-Clutter your Bedroom

Imagine going to bed every single night, before waking up to a lovely clean bedroom that is clutter-free and fresh. Sounds great- right? The main thing you have to know is that it’s not impossible to do this and if you take the right steps, you’ll find that it’s easier than ever for you to get a great result with very little effort.

30 Minute Rule

The more often you try and de-clutter everything, the less time it will take you. Simply start at your bedside table and remove anything that needs to go in the bin. Then, work your way around the bedroom focusing on trash only. When you have done this, go around and collect any dirty clothes. This will free up a huge amount of space and it will also make it easier for you to see what’s left that’s actually clutter.

If you want to know the main clutter culprit, then you may be surprised to know that’s usually clothes. You may have clothes that are too small or even ones that only get worn around once a year. Either way, you need to go through them all and you also need to make sure that you don’t just shove them to the back of the closet. This could mean that you end up recycling them or that you donate them to charity.

Laundry Basket

Another thing that you need to do is make sure that you have a laundry basket in the room. Most of the time, dirty clothes never quite manage to make it to the washing machine and when this happens, they usually end up cluttering up your home. If you want to avoid this then you need to have a laundry basket as this will help you to keep any dirty clothes out of the way without having to worry about a thing.

Trays and Bowls

You may think that adding more items to your room isn’t going to help you at all, but this is not the case. In fact, sometimes trays and even bowls can help you to store knick-knacks without having to worry about losing them. If you aren’t sure what items you need to store then you need to think about earrings, books and watches. If you are running out of space for everything then it may be worth investing in a storage unit so you can de-clutter without getting rid of everything. Squab Storage are a great choice.

Maximize Small Closet Space

Organising and decluttering is crucial if you have a very small closet. You might not have the luxury of storing everything on a shelf if you don’t have much space, but this can be a good thing. You have to make sure that you are investing in great items and that you commit to making those big wardrobe decisions too. If you want to organise your space even more then think about maximising your floor storage as well as finding hangers that can easily accommodate more than one piece of clothing. Little things like this can really make a huge difference.
