My Current Morning Skincare Routine
Sharing my current morning skincare routine…
It’s about time I shared my updated morning skincare routine. I’m really trying to stick to this right now, as obviously my skin looks SO much better when I do this. I try not to use too many products on my skin, as I’m a firm believer that less is more. So here are the current products I’m using on my skin and why I love them!
NIVEA Gentle Exfoliating Face Scrub* (gifted)
So it’s been a little while since I’ve used NIVEA skincare, I used to use their skincare religiously (and I swear by their suncream!) and oh my goodness, so nostalgic! This face scrub has the same scent as the majority of their skincare and it really took me back. This is definitely a gentle exfoliating face scrub, it felt so smooth on my skin and after using this my skin felt lovely and clean. I didn’t get that tight and dry feeling from this face scrub either, which I find I do get with a lot of other face scrubs/cleansers.
I actually purchased this product for my cousin who suffers with her skin, but unfortunately she didn’t seem to get on very well with it, so it came back to me! I’m quite lucky in the fact that I don’t really suffer with spots, unless it’s my time of the month, I’ve worn lots of makeup for a consecutive amount of days or I’ve eaten badly… So obviously I kept this product for any times those pesky little spots arrived. I’ve been using this on spots that have reared their ugly heads for the last year maybe and this serum does such a great job of soothing and getting rid of them. I’m not going to claim that it’s an absolute miracle worker, because it isn’t, but there have been occasions where this has gotten rid of a spot for me overnight!
I’ve had this eye cream for so long and it’s still going! Admittedly, if I’d have actually used this every day for the last year or two then it would probably be empty by now… I adore how creamy this Kiehl’s offering is for under my eyes. It sinks in so quickly and really hydrates my under eye area. As for ridding dark circles, I’ll have to keep you updated with continued use! However, I’m not hopeful because I’ve never found an eye cream to get rid of my huuuge bags.
Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream* (gifted)
I’m obsessed with Dermalogica skincare and I have so many of their products in my collection to use, so I’m going to start drip feeding them into my routine’s (I have an evening routine coming soon…) and in a few months time I hope to come back with an epic Dermalogica skincare review! But for now, their skin smoothing cream is lovely. It’s a really great day cream offering, as it’s not really thick and it leaves your face feeling perfectly hydrated for the AM. It’s a great moisturiser for applying underneath your foundation too, especially if you have normal to dry skin and you find that applying your foundation with a damp beauty blender leaves your face feeling really tight.
I can’t tell you how much I love this facial spray, this is now my second bottle of the stuff and I swear by it for hitting my skin with instant hydration. Spritzing this spray is the final step in my routine and it finishes it off nicely. I feel much more awake after a few generous spritzes of this!
That’s my complete morning skincare routine! I feel much more alive and ready to tackle the day after applying all of these products to my skin. You can see them all in action in the below IGTV video – my first one, so I would appreciate any love and support on it.
