My Birthday Makeup.

My makeup look for my birthday!

If you can’t go all out with the glitter on your lockdown birthday, then when can you?! I knew I wanted to have super sparkly eyes and highlighted cheekbones, with a muted red lip. I feel like it’s my go-to easy glam makeup look…

The Base

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water

The base products I use rarely change, as when I’ve got something good I never enjoy rocking the boat with new products! So, just like my Spring makeup look, I went in with a few refreshing spritzes of this Smashbox Primer Water to prime my face for foundation. Again, I used this to spritz over my face throughout the makeup look and once I had finished too. It’s fab!

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation

In a nutshell; this isn’t cakey (you don’t need to use a lot), it can be built up to a full coverage, it makes your skin look flawless and it doesn’t tend to break me out! I’ve recently started using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to apply my foundation with and I don’t know if I’ll use a brush again…

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

For my birthday makeup, I only applied a little bit of this as to be honest, I’ve kind of got used to my under eye bags now! I really want to try the Tarte Concealer next, as I’ve heard amazing things…

The Face

Maybelline Fit Me Powder

I try not to use too much powder, as I have fairly dry skin. However, I love this offering because it’s lightweight, it doesn’t add any coverage and it also doesn’t change the colour of my foundation. I always apply this powder using a fan brush, to ensure a light application.

Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Pro Palette

I do love a good palette! The contour shades in this one are perfect and I usually mix the two more ashy shades together. You’re able to build up the intensity of your contour with this palette too, which I love.

Revolution Blush Palette Blush Goddess

This palette is so gorgeous! I usually mix the peach and baby pink shade together, to give a warm flush of colour to my cheeks. I love a good peachy blush shade, more than a bright vibrant pink.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter

Wow this highlighter is absolutely b e a u t i f u l. I’m already upset about the day I ruin the ‘waves’… As I’ve mentioned before, I prefer a more golden highlight due to the yellow undertone of my skin. This offering provides the most perfect golden highlight to my cheekbones and I’m telling you, I’m completely obsessed. So happy I bought this!

The Eyes

Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette

Oh this palette is just everything that I hoped it would be and more. It’s so beautiful, the shades are to die for! Look at that packaging too… I just need more Tarte in my life! It’s got great pigment and a lovely huge mirror inside.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

Clearly all of my makeup is too old, as I don’t have any products with the new packaging it seems… Anyway, this palette is always my ultimate go-to. It has all the shades to create your perfect neutral smokey or natural eyeshadow look, taking you from day to night! Honeypot is the absolute dream shade too, oh my!

For my birthday makeup eyeshadow look, I firstly popped Day from the Too Faced palette all over my lid. I then went in with Latte from the Tarte palette to start defining my crease and then built this up with Nudie from the Too Faced palette. To further define my crease and start my subtle smokey eye, I grabbed Cashmere Bunny from the Too Faced palette!

To define the outer portion of my crease, I then blended Fireside from the Tarte palette and Sexpresso from the Too Faced palette to deepen that outer crease even more.

Still Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma

I need these in every shade! They are stunning and so easy to apply with your finger, you only need to wait a few seconds for the liquid formula to dry too. Low maintenance, easy to work with and the end result is dreamy – what more could you ask for?!

NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade

My holy grail eyebrow product that’s an absolute steal. Please try this if you haven’t already! I love it.

Glossier Boy Brow

A perfectly sized brush to grab all those little hairs and keep them in place. I think I’d go for the clear shade next time, only because my brows are a bit fluffy and this can get on the hairs I don’t really want it on and then it just all gets a bit messy… But I love the formula and size of the tube!

Ciate Wonderwand Mascara

Without repeating myself too much… This mascara lengthens, adds volume and makes my lashes super black and full! I love trying out different mascaras and this one is definitely one of my all time faves.

The Lips

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk

I have no idea what’s happened to mine, but I’ve used it like three times and it’s already blunt and doesn’t look like one that I can sharpen… But I love the shade, nonetheless, and the super creamy formula that doesn’t drag on my lips at all. It’s the dream!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita II

This shade is so gorgeous I can’t take it! Considering this is a liquid lipstick, it doesn’t make my lips too dry. Usually my lips would stay dry for a good week or so, but after one day they were back to normal. I tend to apply lip balm before applying any lipstick and then throughout the day when I can feel my lips getting a little tight. The formula of this lipstick is lovely to apply and dries down completely matte and doesn’t budge – even through eating and drinking!

Phew, and we’re done! That is all of the products that I used to create my birthday makeup look and I was super happy with the result. I am also impressed with every product that I used!

I have an IGTV video of this look, so if you’re interested in watching that then you can do so here.

I’d love to know what you think of my birthday makeup look!
