A Summer Makeup Look featuring Makeup54.

A light Summer makeup look, featuring a bold lip!

I was recently, very kindly, sent a little parcel from Makeup54 as a pick me up during lockdown. I really wanted to create a light and natural makeup look, featuring a bold nude lip, with the lipstick and lip topper that they sent me. So I came up with this look!

The Base

For primer I used the Glossier Priming Moisturiser {aff link} as it’s super light and refreshing on the skin, so is perfect for use in the Summer. For foundation I of course used my Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation {aff link}, applying a thin and breathable layer. I then concealed some pesky spots and my eye area with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer {aff link} in the shade Fair!

The Face

To set my base, I grabbed the Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Palette {aff link} and, using the yellow banana shade in the palette, I set my under eyes using my new Beauty Blender. This is the first time I’ve tried this technique and I do feel like it made a difference to the amount of creasing under my eyes. To set the rest of my face, I used a fan brush with my Maybelline Fit Me! Powder {aff link}. To add some much needed colour to my skin, I used the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer {aff link} on my cheekbones, forehead and under my chin! I then went in with the Mac Cosmetics Powder Blush Refill in the shade Blushbaby, which added a really lovely flushed colour to my cheeks. To finish off my face, I used the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette {aff link}. I used the Champagne Pop highlight shade and I am beyond obsessed with this beautiful highlighter. I never want it to run out!

The Eyes

I’m really great at using products that are discontinued… So I do apologise for that! However, the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette is a neutral lovers dream. The main shades are very neutral. However, this palette does contain a few colourful shadows, if you’re feeling brave. I opted for a simple eye makeup look, using a mix of Stark, Anaheim and Zone in my crease. Followed by Pop all over the lid for a little bit of Summer shimmer! For brows, I used my holy grail NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade {aff link} with an angled brush. Then finally, for mascara, I’m still using my all time fave Ciate Wonderwand Mascara {aff link} with my new MASQD Eyelash Curler, which is the best eyelash curler I’ve ever used.

The Lips

Time for the bold lip… I went in with the Makeup54 Disco Nude in the shade Gaynor {PR Product}. I really love this shade. It’s described as a caramel nude, which I couldn’t agree with more. I really love this shade on its own, however for an added extra sparkle I topped it with the Makeup54 Disco Topper {aff link} in the shade Glitterball.

So that’s my finished makeup look! I filmed an IGTV video of this look, which I’ve linked below, so I hope you enjoy that. I’m really happy with how my makeup turned out and, considering it was a really warm day, it lasted so well too! I love the Makeup54 products, the packaging is simple and understated and I really like their branding. The lip products themselves I am really impressed with too, they’re such great quality!
