Oxford: A Photo Diary.

My first time visiting Oxford…

Oxford has always been on my UK bucket list and I’m so pleased to have finally ticked it off. It’s a beautiful city with stunning architecture and is somewhere full of history. I’ll definitely be going back again as soon as I can.

We stayed in a Premier Inn just outside of the city centre, but I would love to try a hotel actually in the city next time to really soak up the atmosphere and reduce travel time.

On our first day we decided to do a Private Self-Guided Treasure Hunt around Oxford – Towers and Taverns. This was actually a really fun and interesting way to see and learn about the city itself and I would totally recommend it for something a little different. It’s a great way to discover little streets and areas of Oxford that you wouldn’t necessarily stumble upon. We spent the afternoon enjoying the sun strolling through Christchurch Meadow alongside the river, which was absolutely beautiful and so chill in the gorgeous sunshine. We then headed back to our hotel for some dinner. Nothing fancy, which is why I’ll be going back for a foodie trip soon as there are SO many lovely food places in Oxford.

We had booked ourselves tickets for the Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum on our final day and I just have one word: b e a u t i f u l. It’s such a peaceful place to wander around and the gardens are lush. It was hard not to take lots of pictures! So many pretty flowers, trees and plants.
